Kistler Tiffany Benefits’ Director of Compliance Services’ Scott Wham, J.D., has been appointed to the National Association of Health Underwriter’s (NAHU) Legislative Council, where he will work closely with industry professionals from around the country to help advance national health care policy. Scott’s term began in August of 2018.
Since joining our team in 2013, Scott has quickly proven himself to be a tremendous and invaluable asset to both our own staff and to our broker partners. Engaging, energetic, and extremely driven, Scott has emerged as an expert in health care compliance, also serving on the board of both the Greater Philadelphia Association of Health Underwriters (GPAHU) and the Pennsylvania Association of Health Underwriters (PAHU). In addition to his duties with Kistler Tiffany Benefits, including hosting Broker Town Hall events, one-on-one broker meetings, and curating his series of weekly compliance updates, Scott is also a nationally recognized speaker and has been frequently invited to speak at events for professional organizations.
This appointment is the natural progression in Scott’s professional career and we could not be happier for him. So why is Scott’s appointment also significant for our Broker Partners? NAHU’s Legislative Council works to develop and advocate for market-based solutions which provide for continued and improved choice, accessibility and affordability of health, disability, and long-term care insurance, employee benefits, and other products designed to meet the health, financial and retirement security needs of the American people. Kistler Tiffany Benefits and our Broker Partners now have a prominent voice that is just one or two degrees away from decision makers in the Capitol and the White House. As industry professionals, specifically in the Delaware Valley, our feedback will be shared and used by Scott when he meets with the NAHU Executive Board. This also gives Scott an “insider’s view” to news as it is breaking, which means you will hear about it before anyone else.
Please join us in congratulating Scott on his worthy and well-earned appointment!
