2020 MLR rebates to be issued to group customers by September 30

AmeriHealth New Jersey’s federal Medical Loss Ratio (MLR) in 2020 was below the required minimums for small and large group fully insured AmeriHealth Insurance Company (AHIC), as well as large group fully insured AHNJ. As a result, we will issue affected customers (those with EPO, PPO, POS, and POS+ plans) a refund of a portion of paid premiums during the 2020 reporting year. Full Article.

Medicare Part D Creditable Coverage

Under the Medicare Modernization Act, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires employer groups and organizations that offer prescription drug coverage to their Medicare-eligible employees, retirees, and dependents to notify them by October 15, 2021, of whether that coverage is “creditable” or “non‑creditable.” Full Article.
